Old ways won’t open new doors.
About me
I am a LPC- A (supervised by Rhonda Gist, LPC-S) with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. During my internship, I started working with couples, and I enjoyed helping them build this emotional connection between them, which they missed in their relationship. Besides that, I provided therapy to individuals who struggle with anxiety, mild depression, low self-esteem, and just trying to find meaning in life. I also had experience working in outpatient mental health clinics with adolescents and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation.
My therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, System family therapy, and sensation-focus therapy. I consider that our mind and body are connected. Working with clients, I consider this aspect in therapy, providing some practices that help clients relax and stay consciously connected to their bodies in a positive way to experience their existence fully.
Outside of work, I cherish moments with my family and by nature. I am volunteering at the church and traveling to new destinations around the globe.
My personal believes
I believe that unshared thoughts diminish us, not only by making us less authentic and whole but also by eating us. Repression is not like putting something away in the closet and forgetting about it; it takes a constant expenditure of energy that slowly wears us down. Whether you’re facing relationship struggles or not, connect with me to explore how therapy can make a positive difference in your life!
